Experience

Matt Rampy is Of Counsel to The Law Offices of Gregory S. Feis. Matt has over 11 years of legal experience, and his practice over the past 11 years has been concentrated in the areas of mergers and acquisitions and corporate/transactional law. He has counseled numerous public and private companies in the fields of mergers and acquisitions, business outsourcing, company formation, technology, venture capital and other financing transactions, strategic alliances and joint ventures, licensing, procurement, information technology, and intellectual property.

Prior to working with The Law Offices of Gregory S. Feis, Matt spent approximately three years as senior counsel with the Baltimore, Maryland based energy company, Constellation Energy Group, Inc., owner of the Baltimore Gas and Electric Company. In such capacity, he was responsible for the majority of the company's acquisitions and divestitures, as well as intellectual property and information technology procurement matters. While at Constellation, Matt as the lead attorney successfully closed more than nine significant acquisitions/divestitures, including the acquisition of the R.E. Ginna Nuclear Power Plant.

Prior to joining Constellation in 2002, Matt worked for approximately
4 ½ years with Greg Feis and other partners in the corporate department at Shaw Pittman, LLP , then a 400+ lawyer firm which is now part of Pillsbury Winthrop Shaw Pittman, LLP - an 800+ attorney law firm with 14 offices around the world, where he represented public and private companies in all aspects of mergers, acquisitions and divestitures, financing transactions, strategic partnerships and joint ventures. Matt began his legal career at a small firm in Washington, DC.

Education

Matt attended the University of San Diego School of Law and the University of San Diego School of Business where he received a J.D. and an M.B.A. in 1996. While at the University of San Diego School of Law, Matt was active in Moot Court and, in his last year, was a member of the Appellate Moot Court Board.

For his undergraduate work, Matt attended the University of Michigan, graduating with his B.A. in 1993.
